Alex has spent between $25,000 and $50,000 on her tattoos to date which led to her addiction completely controlling her life. Alex told Transformed: "I ended up homeless because of my addiction. I was spending 95% of my cheque on tattoos, which meant I had to eat out of the trash just to eat." Alex has worked incredibly hard on beating her addiction and today marks 6 months of her sobriety. Despite Alex's bravery and hard work she still receives judgement from the public. She said: "I've been told, 'Is it spray paint?', 'no one's ever gonna love you because you do that to your face', 'your face used to look beautiful, now you're ugly'. People are very judgemental in the world and non-accepting of difference". In order to celebrate Alex's new sober life, she is hosting a dinner party for her husband and best friends, but little do they know she has a surprise in store for them! With the help of makeup artist Crystal, Alex will be glowing up, which is something she feels is needed for the next part of her sobriety. How will Alex's husband and best friends react?
